About Filament

Thousands of tiny agents, each following three simple senses, laying a trail as they go. The trails feed back on themselves, so the colony self-organises into branching networks the way slime mold does, always moving, never the same twice.

  • Drag to feed. Where you drop food the colony flows and gathers, then the food runs down, so you keep tending it.
  • It hums as it grows. The density of the network in each vertical band drives a soft drone, bright up high and deep below, and each feed rings a chime.
  • Tune the colony. Sliders shape how it moves: how many agents, how wide they sense, how sharply they turn, how fast, and how quickly the trails fade.
